Forsake me not, O Lord.

Frequently we pray that God would not forsake us in the hour of trial and temptation, but we too much forget that we have need to use this prayer at all times. There is no moment of our life, however holy, in which we can do without His constant upholding. Whether in light or in darkness, in communion or in temptation, we alike need the prayer, "Forsake me not, O Lord." "Hold Thou me up, and I shall be safe." A little child, while learning to walk, always needs the nurse's aid. The ship left by the pilot drifts at once from her course. We cannot do without continued aid from above; let it then be your prayer to-day, "Forsake me not. Father, forsake not Thy child, lest he fall by the hand of the enemy. Shepherd, forsake not Thy lamb, lest he wander from the safety of the fold. Great Husbandman, forsake not Thy plant, lest it wither and die. 'Forsake me not, O Lord...

What will you say to God today? Do you realize that as you go about your day and thinking about things that by including God in on your thought pattern you are actually praying to Him? I have learned to discussi everything in my mind with God. My concerns in life for my family, my surroundings, all my hopes, fears, the good, the bad. my pass failures, all my future plans. I have peace of mind because I always keep the "Prince of peace" not just on, but in my mind!!!

My prayer today is for broken lives.

I was raised in a Cristian home with two parents that loved each other , loved God, and along with the love they had for us as children, They were always home with us. It was a home of constant bible study and prayer. I thank God for being raised in such an atmosphere.

I have since met many who do not have my testimony. I work at a halfway house for girls and we pray together, talk together and repeat scriptures out of the bible before each meal. They are girls who have come to us from prison, from hospitals because of drugs and off the street. They have been thru so much! You would think that I am speaking of girls in their 20s but most of these girls are above 40 and 50. They are seperated from their children and famlies.

When they come to us they must attend group meetings each day along with bible study meetings that I have with them. Well, yesterday I decided to attend an AAA meeting that they go to each week-day mo...
